Ambassador Class Starship, and Refit.

The Ambassador Class for Star Trek: Continuum is a total rework of an older model I built in 2008 for the Sacrifice of Angels 2 mod for Sins of a Solar Empire. I will be honest. I am not a big fan of this design. I do wish they used the original Enterprise-C design by Andrew Probert (seen as a painting on Capt. Picard's quarters wall on the Enterprise-D). Still this model received the same love as all of my other works. Extensive study of reference, and studio model photos. I like the refit variant better, because they tried to make it more like the Galaxy Class. The secondary hull was moved forward. The nacelles were lowered slightly. Different nav deflector, and some additional add-ons. Like more life boats, an under slung Excelsior style hangar addition, and an Excelsior style lower sensor dome.

There was a third variant of this ship that was never filmed. That had her nacelles lowered even more. Resting just barely above her pylon phaser strips. That was the studio models final configuration when she was sold off at christies auction.
